APRIL INFORMATION POST
 — April 2018 — Greetings everyone! Welcome to Melodies of Eternity, we hope you will enjoy your stay there and will have fun roleplaying! If you have already been accepted, feel free to introduce yourself in the OOC comm and start plotting for the game's opening. The game will officially open on the 11th! If your application is still pending, we will do our very best to get to it before the game opens, Kupo! The monthly information post details the small events occurring this month. In later months, sections will be added to the Information Post as more features are unlocked. Please post any questions you may have regarding this here!  Fabula Nova Crystallis || April 11th People have been found floating in the Dream Width multiple times in the past, though they were typically found once every few years. Strangely, around fifty have been discovered by Biggs and Wedge today. They have recruited the help of a few residents of Vaikuntha that work at the Curti Center to assist in transporting them and welcoming them to their new lives. You can plot out introductions and introduce yourselves on the OOC community.The introduction log will be posted on the 11th. Mognet Going Live || April 12th The day after their arrival, the newly arrived characters will all be visited by a ball of fluff called a Moogle, who will give them an iMog slate and stick to them like a shadow! They are assigned to help them and are to follow and help you in any way they can! Don't be sad for them, they're paid much better than you ever will be. Imagine all they could do with their money if they didn't waste it on Kupo Nuts...Worldwide Tourists [100 exp] || April 15th - 30th So many newcomers means more Guild members! Ganeshan is pumped to teach everyone about Jobs and combat, so he's sponsoring a grand tour of all of the major cities of Vaikuntha. Rather, he's taking everyone to each Guild associated with the Asterisks the newcomers wanted and introducing them to the future potential homes.Characters are to be flown in a group from the 15th to the 30th to visit various Guilds and learn about potential Asterisks they can take on. Ultimately, they will take the two listed in their application, but players are free to play them testing out other Jobs beforehand. During the trip, characters can wander around the area and start to explore the new world. After this event, players will be able to petition for more Jobs at the Job Request Page.  Mognet will function correctly throughout April, with only a few issues listed below: • April 20th || Audio Issues All audio (whether it is for a voice, video or hologram message) will be distorted on April 20th. Voices will be high-pitched and squeaky. The management of Mognet central apologizes for this temporary inconvenience. • April 24th || Linkshell Issues Messages sent to a Linkshell member will accidentally be sent to all members of the Linkshell they are part of. The management of Mognet Central apologizes for private conversations being accidentally shared with multiple people. • April 21st - April 25th || Mognet Strike (Yun'Ashia) The Mognet Office of Yun'Ashia will go on strike from April 21st to April 25th. Communications will be delayed or altogether impossible for this period of time in the region of Yun'Ashia.  Blah Blah Blah Day || Arito, April 17th Have you ever dreamed of walking into a city and having people speak to you for no reason, venting about problems which you couldn't care less about, stealing precious minutes of your life you'll never get get back? Then Blah Blah Blah Day is for you! On April 17th, Arito celebrates this most peculiar holiday. It is said once upon a time, an army of Elezens threatened Arito, but Moogles and Lalafells defeated them by venting endlessly about their problems until their enemy retreated. While most historians seriously doubt the veracity of this tale, it has become custom for people to vent freely on this day. Go on the streets and join them, or join the people hiding inside buildings, wondering how such a stupid holiday still exists! Golden Week || Sparks Golsaucia, April 20th - April 27th To celebrate the arrival of so many people from the Dream Width, Sparks Golsaucia will hold an early run of its famous Golden Week. All visitors are given a golden ticket and a silver ticket: the golden ticket allows them to access seven attractions for free, whilst the silver one gives them a 50% discount on any attraction, for the duration of the golden week! Fish Ze Biggest Fish || Lavode, April 28th The time has come for Lavode's yearly fishing competition! The rules are quite simple: all participants are to fish by the coast and catch the biggest fish of them all. Organized by Hypellos, the winner may get a wonderful sculpture of a Shoopuf. It has no monetary value, but the memories tied to it are priceless! Please use the weather report below, should you have need to know the weather in a specific location. As the report is vague, feel free to use the listed conditions within each regions as necessary for your roleplaying needs. Non-listed locations are affected by the weather of the closest location listed below. • Myste Aura Kingdom Sunny. Highs of 27°C/81°F, lows of 12°C/54°C. • Ancient Oktavia State Rainy with a few cloudy days. Highs of 22°C/72°C, lows of 5°C/41°C. • Republic of Safer Snowy and cloudy days, with a few sunny days. Safer Osu and Tark Varentain are still covered with snow. Highs of 4°C/39°F, lows of 0°C/32°F. • Lands of the Min'To Crown Sunny. Sandstorms expected by late April around the region of Kiddilion. Baiken is definitely set on Swordmaster, but she'll stick with her roommates on this tour just to check things out around the setting, too.

yeah that's a huge hell no for Baiken. she's socially reclusive at the best of times, she's going to double down for this. someone hide with her in silence. maybe share a drink

see this is why I'm glad she's already making friends with outgoing people. someone show her how to have fun that doesn't involve bar fights.
plus anything else. this is opening month so i want to branch her out as much as ICly reasonable so she can build a strong CR base. she's prickly most of the time and generally quick to anger/violence despite not being a bad person, mostly. so anything that can stick is a+

He'll be participating in Blah Blah Blah Day, loudly shouting about his woes as long as he's not within earshot of his roommates.
Golden Week has Hunk all hyped up, mostly because "Does the food court count as an attraction?" Someone drag him onto a roller coaster.
Hunk will be trying to Fish Ze Biggest Fish because free cooking materials, and something calm and mundane will help his nerves.
He'll also be interested in cooking, whether for individuals (ask him to cook the food of your homelands, he'll do it) or for groups (he might wanna whip up a giant banquet for people to help ease the dimension-hopping discomfort) because it's part of how he copes.
But go wild aside from that, Hunk's super friendly 95% of the time. I'll maybe have him quest or adventure in the wilderness to get money for cooking supplies, so that's also an option!

- Hates Blah Blah Blah Day, as an Elezen, is more prone to targeted venting in the name of historical accuracy. Which is to say, absolutely do it. He's actually not hiding, out of some belief that every year that he subjects himself to it, he will get stronger against the volume. (He won't.) If anything, it serves as an excuse for him to visit old schoolmates in Arito too! Though there won't be much going on there, that's just backdrop flavor text.
- Golden Week might be something he explores with friends, but otherwise he's still pretty shy about doing stuff with strangers, so he'll be observing more than participating unless someone's really insistent. More than likely, it ends up as him watching otherworlders.
- No fishing for him, he can't take the smell.

- Yes to Golden Week! She'll try to force herself to go despite initial apprehension, because she can't be afraid of everything forever.
