Congrats! You have unlocked the Holiday Islands. You can visit them at any time, but there will be a special exploration of them on May 15th. This is a light-hearted and modding-free event for everyone to rest up following the events with Bahamut. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have in this post. ABOUT THE HOLIDAY ISLANDS The Islands of Perpetual Holidays, or the Holiday Islands, are not visible on the World Map, as they have no fixed location. The Islands themselves exist out of time, on a plane that is somewhat but not totally aligned with Vaikuntha. The citizens of Vaikuntha are unaware of the existence of the Holiday Islands, and are unable to find them (except for rare instances in which travelers get incredibly lost and end up there). If a non-Hero of Light Vaikunthan is taken to the Islands, they will forget the details of their visit once they leave. They could remember having a conversation with your character while there, but the details of when and where it took place will be fuzzy. The citizens of the Holiday Islands are absolutely aware of the existence of Vaikuntha. In fact, they spend the majority of their time making preparations to share their chosen holiday with the world outside of their own. However, they are unable to leave the Holiday Islands and travel into Vaikuntha except for on their holiday (or when time is acting especially weird). The residents of the Islands can travel amongst the Holiday Islands, but usually choose to remain on their island of origin out of personal preference. Heroes of Light (native and outworlder) can travel freely between the Holiday Islands and the outside world, now that they have been made aware of their existence. They can even choose to work or live there if they so desire (the rent is not so bad)! Even though they are technically ‘uncharted’, the Heroes can always find their location if they look within their hearts. The major Holiday NPCS (you know the ones) are typically unavailable to meet with the Heroes, as they are devoted to preparing for their holidays. However, you can feel free to handwave NPC interactions with the other citizens (Christmas elves, easter bunnies in training, etc) as you explore the Islands.
