QUESTIONS?
Jack Harkness | Captain Jack Harkness | Doctor Who/Torchwood | Melodies of Life CRAU
Jack has grown up in Hisan City, with a taste for adventure and travel that has sent him to any place he can reach on the planet. I'm trying to figure out some kind of trade school or basic tech education that he would have gotten. But then, he would have picked up any kind of job he could with any merchant he could for the sole purpose of getting out and traveling. The discovery of an entire Interdimensional Cloud to be explored? Only kicks up Jack's wanderlust even more. He grabbed a job at the Curti Center as soon as he could, to meet new people, and to possibly get a chance to explore beyond the boundaries of this planet. Only, how many people of these new arrivals will already recognize him, and what do they all know about him that he couldn't have dreamed of?
Essentially! We're getting Ninth-Doctor-Era Jack, before he's found a role model to obsess over, before he's thinking of himself as any kind of a hero, before he thinks he's responsible for every-damn-thing. But don't worry, we'll get there.
Looking for: Friends, maybe people he's traveled with before, and, of course, exes. See the world; date the world. He's going to have a string of NPC exes of every race.
Bards! Jack is definitely starting out as a Bard. I'm still debating on the second job he'll pick up.
Re: QUESTIONS?
Sarah Cornelia | FF1 AU
The fallout from this was that her parents became deeply, deeply protective of her and spent her teen years both spoiling her and sheltering her from everything they could even as the Empire (and thus their primary source of income) being closed off made it immensely difficult to do so. She didn't know what a strain she was putting on them at the time. She does now. She feels bad.
Studied at ~FANCY BOARDING SCHOOL~ throughout her teens. I'm defaulting to 'probably somewhere in safer' but that's easily changeable if anyone else has a similar school situation so we can have characters being in the same place.
She's cut herself off financially from her parents now, in something of a stalemate where she tries to send money home and they don't accept it and try to send money to her and she also doesn't accept it.
She practically begged the Curti Center to let her work there. Mostly because she's been sheltered all her life and she really, really, really wants to see both all of her own world as well as hearing about every other one. But also partly because she was trying to cut herself off from her family and she heard that they have jobs that need the workers to stay there overnight and getting your own home is hard and expensive pls let her work somewhere that provides board. Currently crashing at the center. Her parents hate this. She likes it a lot tho it's like having a sleepover forever but with your workmates.
VERY EXCITE ABOUT THE DREAM WIDTH PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE TELL HER EVERYTHING.
If military training is mandatory in Safer, her parents would have pulled whatever strings they could to have her trained as part of the drum/pipe corps primarily.
Looking for: Work friends! People who might have gone to fancy schools! Users of Mognet Linkshells about fiend photography or dessert making or small animals or music or- she's in a lot of linkshells okay. Also open to amending background if people want a family member? The only thing I have set in stone wrt that right now is 'spoiled baby'.

Jack can do a more general study of tech from Hisan, but if he wants to have a specialization, he would want to study where that technology stems from, if that makes sense. Also, he could totally have had a summer job as a iMog Store employee.

Re: QUESTIONS?
Minato Arisato } Sakuya Shiomi | Persona 3 MoL Reincarnation
Financial troubles have led to Sakuya passing on getting a university education, and that's why he's working at Curti Center now. ... But he's very bad at dealing with people, so he's more than happy to stay at his desk. That's bad for CR, so he's definitely not allowed to keep that up. He's always felt that his sister was the better one between them-- and that without her, he has no idea what he's doing. Truth be told, the inferiority complexes are probably mutual because he's the one better at scholastic things where she excels in being social! Silly siblings.
Overall, Sakuya is a lot more meek than Minato, rather than keeping his cool having more panic under the surface and quickly retreating instead of dealing with problems and/or shrugging them off. Violence is scary, and even in a support role he struggles to find reason to be involved, as he has his family to be alive for. He's had a string of relationships with both guys and girls that haven't worked out, to which he figured he's probably only attracting people based on appearance, and he might have not truly felt love as he should have anyway, instead seeking validation he's okay to be around.
tl;dr disaster almost-adult just wants to make money, and friends but doesn't know how w/o depending on his sister
His starting main job is Astrologian, and the second is still undecided.
[P3 Spoilers]
Due to not having had literal death within him, he's not as ridiculously hungry as his canon counterpart always is. And his birthday is his date of death, March 5th.

Someone who lives nearby or who has researched the shrine might know a little more. The name of the spirit of the shrine has been lost to time, but some of the hymns used in the rituals of the temple have been preserved, passed down through the generations by the shrine workers. Those who work at the shrine assert that the unknown spirit is a benevolent one, not a spirit that needs to be feared or appeased.
One more curious thing about the temple is this- In the wilds surrounding the shrine, there is a high concentration of venomous flora and fauna, but no poison or impurity invades beyond the gates of the shrine.

To put it in simple words - let's have a character from Nakagawa who's been growing up surrounded by Swordmasters and Cavaliers, which in turn inspired them to train hard in order to join their ranks and hone their skills. How would they be treated by the guild members? Would they be immediately sent away due to the lack of experience? Or maybe the guilds are a fairly recent invention and therefore this isn't applicable?
To clarify, I'm not looking for easy exp and I'm absolutely fine with starting out with a blank slate Job-wise, I'm just trying to flesh out my character's background, haha.
