Under a Starry Night: Information Post and Sign-ups

It’s time for another event! I hope you aren’t tired of them. This post is to discuss the upcoming New Year’s event and Secret Santa that Azusa is running!

Here’s how Under A Starry Night will work.

Part One: 25 EXP

The first part of Starry Night is going to be the IC Secret Santa! If you’re not aware of how Secret Santas work, everyone is given a name of someone in the group and they have to buy a present for that person, wrap it, and leave it under the tree. It’s all anonymous. Usually, this is done on Chrismas, but Azusa is doing this for New Year’s because we’ll all need to relax after all these events, right?

You’ll sign up below to participate, and after a week I’ll randomize everyone into a big list and ta-dah! Your character will have someone to get a gift for anonymously! Then, when I post the log for the second part of the event, there will be a header for you to leave your gifts under. During the event, characters can check for their present and find out what they got. It’s always a lot of fun.

Here are some quick guidelines:
-Try to give a thoughtful gift! No one likes to be the person who gets a pair of white socks in a real Secret Santa, so try to give the recipient something to play around with.
-If your character wouldn’t leave a good gift because they’re bad at shopping and you want to play up the hilarity angle, consider having your Moogle slip in something extra. Or Azusa can process the gift and add something of her own to soften the blow.
-The sign-ups will close on the 19th or thereabouts, and that’s when I’ll reply to let you know who your partner is. The IC log for this event will be posted around the 27th or 28th depending on my own Holiday plans, so we can get it in right before New Year’s.
-You don't have to participate in both halves of the event! You can only do one or only do the other or both or none at all!

Part Two: 25 EXP

And what is part two of this event? It’s a mingle log! That’s it. Come make new friends, talk with old friends. If you have an AC-length thread, you can cash that in for 25 EXP with your December or January experience points. Maybe something wonderful will happen at this party...but it will be held somewhere high class in Tark Varentain (for that snowy atmosphere), so if you want your character to dress up in a suit or a holiday sweater, you can’t go wrong! Both picks are valid! Just don’t show up naked, permadeath is in effect and Azusa will end you.

Congratulations, Richard! Your ‘Secret Starlight’ gift recipient is Kanji Tatsumi! The event log for ‘Upon a Starry Night’ will be posted around December 29th, my schedule permitting. There will be a comment posted named ‘Secret Starlight Gift Exchange’ where your character can leave a gift under the tree! It’s supposed to be anonymous, but Azusa can’t stop you from handing the gift out in person or signing a card. There will be more information in the event log! Once you hand in your gift, your character has earned 25 Experience Points for being a giving person!
