SEPTEMBER INFORMATION POST
 — September 2018 — Greetings everyone! This monthly information post will detail what events will occur this months. This month's event finally unlocks Custom Jobs! But more importantly, now is the start of the quest to find a way to stop the world from ending. Please post any questions you may have regarding all of this here.  The Calamity || September 01st 2018 - April 11th 2019 On April 11th 2019, Bahamut will be summoned and will destroy Vaikuntha. To be specific, he will burn the surface to the ground and kill all lifeforms, NPCs and PCs alike. So technically, Vaikuntha will survive! Maybe. Of course, there may be ways to diminish the effects of the summon or save the world altogether. While it seems unlikely the summoning process can be stopped, surely there are certain things that can be used against Bahamut? And that's where your characters come in. They are now known as the Heroes of Light and are expected to find a way to save the world. There shall be very little help from the moderators in doing so as the NPCs do not know what to do. Indeed, it is up to you to find ways to counter the Calamity. Actions in the coming months will culminate during the Anniversary Event on April 11th, 2019. You are encouraged to make player plots and dig around the world of Vaikuntha to pierce its secrets. Custom Fit [100 EXP] || September 10th - September 30th Thanks to special research reports Ganeshan got from a friend working in Sen Riqeaux, the development of Custom Jobs can begin! Ganeshan's friend has spent his whole life trying to create new Jobs from scratch, but failed to do so. But with the arrival of people from the Dream Width, his dream might finally become a reality. Custom Jobs are Jobs made by the Outworlders out of their real powers. However, they will not be made available through the Job page the same way normal Jobs are. Instead, should someone wish to learn a Custom Job belonging to another character, they will have to become said character's apprentice and learn the Job from them directly. It is impossible to have two apprentices at once, so if you plan on teaching your Custom Job to multiple people, they will have to wait! Each character can hold up to two Custom Jobs: one of their own making and one they have learnt from someone else. Characters will be offered to help in finalizing the Custom Job Project in a variety of ways, ranging from fetching crystals in dangerous places to helping with scientific things. Participating in this event, regardless you plan on getting a Custom Job or not, will award your character 100 EXP. Monster Arena || September 27th During the Festival of Light, an old man in Sen Riqeaux charged one of the characters with the duty of spreading the word about the upcoming Monster Arena. Indeed, starting September 01st the characters will notice some sort of small place is being built on the island of the Curti Center... The Monster Arena is a place where monsters can be fought, so long as their data is recorded. The Arena is a side-quest center. Seeing how capturing monster one by one is a slow and tedious process, the Monster Arena old man has developed a mean to create monsters out of people's experiences. That means monsters from their homeworlds and past Boss Battles can be submitted to him. Characters who fought monsters or bosses will be able to submit their data and be rewarded with Gil, then those monsters will be available for fighting in training any time. An OOC post will be posted to give more explanation regarding the Arena.  Mognet will function correctly throughout September, besides issues listed below: • September || Linkshell Issues a2lsbGVyb2Z3b3JsZA== is still part of the Kali Shashidhwaja linkshell. • September 15th || Linkshell Rename To better reflect their role in the upcoming battles, the Kali Shashidhwaja linkshell will be renamed Heroes of Light. • September 20th-23rd || Mognet Strike A Mognet Strike will take place, making the use of the iMog Slates to communicate with other characters impossible. • September 25th || Linkshell Issues On the 25th, all messages sent privately will be sent openly to everyone. • September 30th || Glitch A glitch in the iMog Slate will shift the theme or an orange color, strike out and grey out the names of all otherworlders in the communication functions and will add the line "All hail King Moggle Mog!" at the end of all messages.  Beard Day || Safer Osu, September 02nd Once upon a time, there was a law that people who had a beard didn't have to work on September 02nd. Who wrote and approved of such a silly law, no one knows. But it became somewhat of a problem when everyone started wearing fake beards. Even children! Famously, a teacher couldn't give her class an exam because of all her students had come wearing a fake beard and refused to work. Nowadays, the law has been abolished but it is customary for people in Safer Osu to wear a fake beard on that day to remember better times.Fight Procrastination Day || Worldwide, September 06th Sometimes, you push back things to tomorrow because you don't feel like doing the things. Other times, you're like the one who has written this information post; you've waited till the very last moment because you feel as though you work better under pressure. That's all nice and dandy, but we all know the truth: such people are procrastinators! No more, is what scholars from Arito said when they created this holiday. Its creator is a Lalafell named Late Lalate who, according to the legends, had planned to create this holiday when he'd be 25 of age, but he only did so on his 40th birthday. This holiday isn't very popular and modern scholars have noticed it was originally celebrated on August 27th— Even those who celebrate this holiday have procrastinated over the ages.Collect Rocks Day || Hisan City, September 16th Once upon a time, a Freelancer decided to become more. Rather than lament upon his fate, he used his unique gift when it came to finding rocks and became a geologist. Such a good geologist as a matter of fact, he is mentioned in all geology books and as of this day is remembered whereas people with Jobs from his era are not. To celebrate such an exceptional man who made a diamond out of a sad situation, it is customary on this day to go around and pick rocks. It is also customary to pay a visit to despairing Freelancers and help them out of it.Talk Like A Pirate Day || Worldwide, September 19th Legends have it that the city of Kiddilon was named after a blood-thirsty and deadly pirate whose cruelty equaled only her skills. While the legends are likely to be very exaggerated, to honor the city's namesake it is customary to speak like a pirate on that day. Har, you matey! And if those are the only words you know in Pirate, hopefully your Moogle will help you! Characters who wish keeping their house in the Curti Center will be offered to take on a basic part-time jobs as listed below. This will give them the authorization to stay. It doesn't pay well compared to other jobs and there are no promotions, but it comes with free housing and food. Curti Center Employments [10 000 Gil - 25 000 Gil] Positions: Cook, Researcher, Dream Width Pilot, Gardener, Secretary, Janitor, Nurse, Security Guard. Qualifications: Past experiences required for Cook, Researcher, and Pilot. Past experience or appropriate Job required for Nurse. Should the investigation involves unearthing secrets (for example, exploring the ruins upon which a place is built), then it would require a player plot.

Could the mods adjust the wording on the NPC Contact page to reflect this? Right now it reads: If a NPC isn't listed here or has no means of contact listed, then they cannot be contacted through Mognet and will require a player plot to be contacted:
The Crystal Temple was built on top of Bahamut's Temple, right? Would the player characters be allowed to explore any remnants of those ruins now, or is that beyond the scope of the influence they currently have in the country? (Asking in case something else is planned for this, or we need to wait a few months for full IC permission.)
