Player Plot: The Golsaucian Gauntlet - Players Polling PuPus

Hi everyone! The Golsaucian Gauntlet is over, hooray! I learned a lot about running events and I'm excited to (eventually) come up with other weird and fun ideas.

Everyone who participated in the Gauntlet gets some kind of airship ticket, but here's the list of who all gets what.

• Golden Airship Ticket (20% off any purchase): Okuyasu Nijimura, Suzaku Kururugi, Sparks Nevada, Madhuri, Kanji Tatsumi, Frisk, Finn, Red Savarin, Papyrus, Zelgadis Graywords, Cor Leonis, Demyx, Hana Song, Clarus Amicitia, Azusa Miura, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Gladiolus Amicitia, Regis Lucis Caelum, Morgana
• Platinum Airship Ticket (50% off any purchase): Baiken, Noctis Lucis Caelum
• Crystal Airship Ticket (100% off any purchase below 2 million gil, ie a free Falcon-class airship): Adrien Agreste, wearing a Mogmart Chat Noir Cait Sith costume, because obviously.

Altogether, that's nearly six whole airships worth of discounts! That's absolutely mindblowing, and I want to thank everyone who put time and energy into that half of the event. Seriously, wow.


One thing that didn't get resolved was the part where people get to learn about the Dream Width from the PuPus. So I wanted to take a hot second to get that fixed up as time and the plot move ever forward. Here's what I've been able to get as the base-level of what characters can learn about the PuPus:

PuPu technology looks a mix between the kind of stuff you buy to distract a two-year-old kid and the kind of technology people thought the future would have in the 80s. It looks like it's made from cheap plastic, the colors are pretty bright and vivid, there are a lot of sparkles and while sci-fi generally tries to have stuff compact and minimalist, their stuff is big with huge buttons and all that. In spite of how utterly ridiculous it looks though, it's actually far more advanced than the tech you can find in an iMog Slate or an Airship.

Since this entire info-gathering phase is handwaved, anyone can drop questions for the PuPus, regardless of whether a player participated in PuPu Peril or not.

The only rule I'm giving is to please put the questions in response to my labelled tag in the comments, just in case there end up being other threads that could distract from the plotty questions.

About trading off airship tickets. If a character decides to give their ticket to someone else months from now or whatever, should we still comment in the below thread just to keep everything in order?

What if my character participated (Snow White) but is not listed as receiving anything?

The Golsaucian Gauntlet proper (the nonsensical game show) gave Airship Tickets to all participants. Snow White participated in the PuPu Peril part of the event, which was mutually exclusive with competing in the Gauntlet. Therefore, Snow White does not get an Airship Ticket, unless a Gauntlet participant were to pass theirs off to him.

Okay PuPu questions!

How long have outworlders been appearing in the Dream Width? When was the first occurrence?

Are there any other co-occurring things that happen when people arrive in the Dream Width, like strange but consistent weather patterns, etc.?

Before the mass influx several months ago, when was the last time an outworlder was found in the Dream Width? Are they still alive in Vaikuntha, and could someone reach them?

Do the PuPu navigate the Dream Width safely in ships too? Is it plausible that a way from Vaikunthan space to another world could be found in the Dream Width? (outworlders arrival reversed?)

AIRSHIP TICKET TRADEOFFS

The airship tickets given out as prizes can be traded to other characters, with the exception of Hunk because that'd be Uncomfortable. If your character would like to trade their ticket to someone, please reply to this post with what ticket they're trading. Then, the recipient must comment to confirm the trade.

If you're looking to just ditch the ticket for someone else to use but don't have a recipient, that's fine too! People can totally respond to try and pick that up if the player is okay with it.
