While wandering Arito, your group is approached by the gold chocobo. She assesses your strength and with a very human-like nod settles into step with you, urging you out of the city to fight off the monsters. Your team will fight off against a particularly nasty-looking adult chocobo eater (Hard mode), and the gold chocobo will fight by your side, attacking and healing along with your party. Once the battle is won, each party member will be given two gysahl greens for their victory, and your chocobo companion will choose one member of the party to lead off to a nest, where she’s laid a single perfect speckled black egg. The character in question will be encouraged to take the egg (which is still warm) before the gold chocobo is satisfied, running off into the sunset never to be seen again.
