While wandering Tark Varentain, your group is approached by the gold chocobo. She assesses your strength before pushing you toward a yellow male chocobo. This chocobo will be a valuable member of your team and will fight and heal right alongside you and your party members. Team formed, you’ll be led by your companion bird out onto the field to face off against an adolescent chocobo eater (easy mode). Once the battle is won, this chocobo may also choose to remain with one party member. All party members will receive two gysahl greens as well for their victory.
